Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, Inc. Announces Closing of Realty Income’s $950 Million Investment in Bellagio Las Vegas

New York – Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, Inc. (“BREIT”) today announced the closing of Realty Income Corporation’s (“Realty Income”, NYSE: O) investment of approximately $950 million to acquire common and preferred equity interests from BREIT in a new joint venture that owns a 95% interest in the real estate assets of The Bellagio Las Vegas. As part of the transaction, Realty Income invested approximately $300 million of common equity in the joint venture to acquire a 21.9% indirect interest in the property, BREIT retained a 73.1% indirect interest, and MGM Resorts International (“MGM”) retained a 5.0% interest in the property. Realty Income also invested $650 million to acquire a yield-bearing preferred equity interest in the joint venture.

The transaction was previously announced on August 25, 2023.
